Lilla Glass is a writer and narrative designer from Olympia, WA, known for creating lush, atmospheric worlds and memorable characters. The first installment of her debut fantasy series, the Reel of Rhysia, received Best in Category for the 2023 OZMA awards and a Crowned Heart from InD’tale Magazine, and her short stories have been featured in anthologies by Papillon du Pere Publishing and Madhouse Books.
Lilla fell in love with narrative design while creating therapeutic Dungeons and Dragons campaigns for children in Behavioral Health Services. She is passionate about game development and has collaborated with several studios to craft stories tailored to the tone and genre of their projects.
As the narrative designer for Play Hooky’s roguelike strategy game, Fairy Circle, she constructed three versions of a cozy fairytale to reward player curiosity and enhance replay value. For Studio Sapling’s eerie mystery game, High Pines, she designed a three-act narrative told entirely through diegetic puzzles and lore notes. As a game writer for Sky Lantern Studio’s unannounced project, she helped to shape the foundational lore of an original IP and wrote cinematic cutscenes that explore nuanced themes while driving the story forward.
When Lilla isn’t creating something, she can usually be found wandering a labyrinthine collection of books and games she can never hope to fully explore. Occasionally, her wonderful husband and friends abduct her and force her to socialize.
